      Short version: Note It Down!! stores your notes exclusively on your own device.
      We do not collect, transmit, or share any of your data — ever.
    

1. Who We Are

Note It Down!! is a Chrome browser extension developed by Jonah Ssembatya. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out via the GitHub repository linked on the Chrome Web Store listing.

2. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information.
We do not track your browsing activity or the pages you visit.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any third-party tracking services.

3. How Your Notes Are Stored

Notes you create are saved using your browser's built-in localStorage API. This means your notes are stored locally on your device only — inside Chrome's own storage for this extension. They are never sent to any server, database, or third party.

Notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the extension.
Clearing Chrome's site data for this extension will permanently remove all stored notes.
Notes are not synced across devices.

4. Permissions

The extension declares the storage permission in its manifest for forward compatibility. In the current version, all storage is handled through localStorage and no chrome.storage API calls are made. No other browser permissions are requested.

5. Third-Party Services

Note It Down!! does not integrate with, communicate with, or share data with any third-party service, API, or server.

6. Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As no data is collected at all, no special handling is required.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the extension, the updated policy will be published at this URL and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
